SPOT Rules

Setup and structure

• Bring your own tent, table, chairs, and display structure — the reserved space is only the plot marked on the map.
• It is prohibited to attach, hang, or fasten anything to walls, fences, trees, poles, or any structure on the premises (tape, nails, screws, rope, etc.).
• Stay within the boundaries of your reserved space — do not encroach on neighboring SPOTs or walkways.
• Structures must be stable and secure (adequate weight/ballast), especially in case of wind.
• Setup time: to be arranged (arrive with enough time before the event starts).
• Teardown time: only after the event's official closing, unless otherwise arranged.

Electric power

• The event does not guarantee an electrical outlet for SPOTs. If you need electricity, bring your own (quiet) generator or confirm availability with the organizers in advance.

During the event

• Keep your area organized and clean throughout the event.
• Do not block aisles, exits, or access/emergency routes.
• This is a family event — products, imagery, and conduct must be appropriate for all ages.
• If selling food or beverages, follow applicable health regulations (handling, storage, and permits, if required).

Cleanup

• Each vendor is responsible for collecting their own trash and disposing of it in the appropriate places.
• Leave your reserved space clean at the end of the event, in the same condition you found it.

Liability

• Each vendor is responsible for their own products, equipment, and structure.
• The Brazilian Family Day organization is not liable for loss, damage, or theft of vendors' items.
• Vendors with higher-value equipment are encouraged to consider their own insurance.

Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance

By reserving and paying for a SPOT, you state that you have read, understood, and agree to these Rules and Terms and Conditions, and you commit to following them throughout the event.

2. Reservation and payment

The SPOT reservation is confirmed upon full payment via PayPal. The SPOT is reserved specifically for the location (number/region) chosen on the event map.

3. Changing location

You may swap SPOTs up to 1 hour before the event starts, through the link sent by email after purchase. Swapping to a location of equal value has no additional cost. Swapping to a higher-value location requires paying the difference. Swapping to a lower-value location is not possible (that option is not available in the system).

4. Cancellation and refunds

SPOT reservations are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, contact the organizers — at the organizers' discretion, it may be possible to transfer the reservation to another person or pass on the SPOT, but a refund of the amount paid is not guaranteed.

5. Use of the space

The reserved space must be used in accordance with the SPOT Rules described above. Failure to comply with the rules may result in the vendor's removal from the event, without a refund.

6. Liability and disclaimer

The Brazilian Family Day organization (PIBBLA — First Brazilian Baptist Church of Los Angeles, with support from Cadê Brazil) is not liable for damage, loss, theft, accidents, or losses of any kind involving vendors, their products, equipment, or customers, except where required by law.

7. Use of image

By participating in the event, you agree that photos and videos captured during Brazilian Family Day (including your SPOT) may be used by the organizers for event promotion purposes, on social media and other materials.

8. Force majeure

If the event is cancelled for reasons beyond the organizers' control (extreme weather, emergency, authority requirements, etc.), the organizers will seek a fair solution (rescheduling or another alternative), but full refunds are not guaranteed.
